I have been studying for the GRE Online with Princeton Review and writing my personal statements for NYU for both the MFA in Theatre and the PhD in World Literature. I have a New York bug in me now that won't go away, and I would love to go back and stay, either in an MFA program or a PhD. I have gotten so busy these days I spend so much time writing I hardly ever write here.
I don't really know what's going on right now. My life was so overly empty when I graduated, that I added life to it by looking for work full-time and following my heart: research. I love to research and study. It's quite crazy, I know, but I have a passion for teaching, research, and acting. All three of them.
For those of you who don't know, I have been acting for about 14 years of my life, and have been in over 30 plays. I worked my ass off during my MA to get my lit degree, but for the past 2 years have been studying character analysis and scene structure with an old school process teacher. I have never been happier than when I am analyzing a character, or studying a book, or acting, or teaching, or professing. I am smitten with all of these things.
Yes, it does look like, despite my timidity to those who don't really know me, I am very performance-oriented, or rather truth-oriented. I am asking for letters of recommendation for the M.F.A. program, then I will ask for letters for the PhD. I may be broke and jobless, but I am happy.
Now if only they would give me that job in New York as that tutoring director, then everything would make sense...I have enough experience and education to teach college now, and I can't find a job at Dairy Queen because there's nothing open. I love the irony of it all.

haha. It's all insane, isn't it?
Anthony, I'll keep your path in my prayers. Truly. I hope things work out well for you, and a clear path opens up to NY :)
Can't wait to see you in a play one day, or at least a play you've written :D
it totally is the gayest dog ever. No really.
Moving to NY would be exciting! I hope that works out for you.
I have to agree with Ashley - it would be cool to see you in a play. Is there any footage of your acting floating around on You Tube?
D.
P.S. - Remember when we did the commercials?? :-) People ask me to this day if I'm still doing commercials! (the answer is: No!)
P.S.S. - Remember that line, "¡Jorge! ¡¿Qué estás haciendo?!" - the commercial about the guy who was digging up his backyard looking for the equity? Still makes me smile...
Ashley: Keep praying for me. I have to make a difficult decision to move very soon.
I will be in a play again. Someday.
And that picture of that dog shows him to be quite possible a very sophisticated gay dog. Classy, yet very telling.
D: No, I don't really have alot of experience with film, as you already know. The two commercials I did with you were about all of my film experience. I did do two indie student projects with a guy from Academy of Art, (he starred me in two of his silly short films), but those are for my eyes only, and possibly a casting director.
Yes, I remember it all very well. No acting for the camera since then.
